Agastache foeniculum is sometimes called Anise hyssop for the scent of its foliage. This generous plant blooms from early summer to early autumn in our Texture Garden. Dense, almost fuzzy, whorls of tiny tubular flowers. Self-seeds but is not difficult to control.

Summer.  3 ft. x 1 ft.

Blue flowers

Sun     Zones 6, 7, 8, 9, 10
If grown organically Agastache foeniculum leaves and flowers can be used as a culinary herb with an anise flavor. This is one of the Agastaches that will grow well in less than full sun, it just does not grow as tall as it does in the sunny border.
