We grow Aquilegia 'Woodside Variegata' for the dappled yellow variegation on the green foliage more than the flowers because the leaves remains attractive long after the spent flowers stems have been cut back. Because this grows well in a part shade setting, it is an especially useful addition to the woodland garden. Flowers can be variable in color but this selection seems to produce mostly purple flowers.
