We grow the evergreen Berberis x kewensis on a southern facing slope where it receives very little water during our dry summers. The glossy linear leaves are thick and lightly serrated and conceal spines beneath them. In autumn, the oldest leaves take on red tints which echo the red stems. Spring. 6 ft. x 5 ft.
