(C. creticus x C. symphytifolius) C. symphytifolius is a Canary Island species and should not be hardy for us. But Cistus x ralletii is hardy and has done well in our garden, producing its generous inflorescences with numerous large pink flowers in early summer. With its upright habit and its rugged gray foliage this is an excellent addition to the dry border.
