The extra-large, early flowers of Clematis 'Daniel Deronda' (Charles Noble) always create quite a stir among the customers when they first come into bloom in the spring. The filaments and anthers are a contrasting pale cream. This is a classic. All of our Clematis are two year old plants that are suitable for immediate planting in your garden.

Late spring to late summer.  8-10 ft.

Dark Purple Blue flowers

Sun, Part Shade     Zones 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9
Early flowering in the spring on the previous year's growth. If you hard prune, you eliminate most or all of the early blooms. Instead, groom this after flowering by cutting back the top one-third to one-half of some stems. This encourages new growth for possible summer bloom.
