This is the less well-known sister of the popular Clematis 'Bee's Jubilee' according to clematarian Robin Saville. Like its sister, Clematis 'Sealand Gem' (Bees of Chester, 1957) is barred; its sepals are pale mauve blue with reddish mauve bars. The flowers are irregularly wavy on their margins making them appear very full, even semi-doubled. All of our Clematis are two year old plants that are suitable for immediate planting in your garden.

June to July; August to September.  8-10 ft.

Because this blooms on the previous year's wood, do not hard prune. Lightly prune after the first round of bloom has ended. Be sure to give fertilizer to promote new growth and late summer bloom.
