Grevillea 'Canberra Gem' has grown successfully on the south side of our farm house for eight years, weathering many nasty winter storms. The branches are dense with narrow, dark evergreen needle foliage. Bears terminal clusters of spidery red flowers. Good for a sheltered sunny site in the Pacific Northwest.

(December-February) March to May.  6-7 ft. x 6-7 ft.

Cerise flowers

Sun     Zones (8)9-11
Note: Grevilleas originate in areas with mostly phosphorous deficient soils. An application of a balanced fertilizer will likely kill most Grevilleas and many of the other Proteaceae varieties.
