A Joy Creek Introduction for 2014. Fifteen years ago we planted a group of open-pollinated seedlings from Hosta 'Sun Power' on the exposed east side of our farm house. One of those seedlings attracted our attention and we finally incorporated it into our garden. Its leaves begin gray chartreuse in the spring and mature to chartreuse with golden lighlights running through their deeply quilted surfaces. This mid-sized hosta has short flowering stems, not rising much above the leaves. We have found that it is best if it is given morning light but is protected from the hot afternoon sun.

June to July.  18 in. x 36 in.
