The Japanese name of Hydrangea s. `Shichidanka' means "seven levels" which perhaps describes the tiers of flowers of this graceful shrub or perhaps describes the seven stages that the flowers undergo as they transform from pastel to green to red-pink. The open, star-shaped, double sterile flowers are so remarkably lovely it is easy to see why this is such a crowd pleaser.

June to August.  30 in. x 30 in.
