S Portugal and SW Spain. Lavandula viridis was not supposed to be winter hardy for us but for four years it has flourished in our gardens. The off-white flowers with their green bracts make the floral spikes look chartreuse. The woolly leaves are slightly sticky to the touch with a strong camphor aroma that surprises visitors.
