The 12-16 inch diameter roundish heart shaped leaves of Ligularia vetchiana are carried on 30 to 40 inch stems which in themselves make a great bold look for the garden. The 3 inch bright yellow flower are carried on 4 foot stems above the foliage in July and early August. If adequate moisture is not available for the plant it will droop or scorchsignificantly during hot weather.
