Pycnanthemum tenuifolium is a North American native found from the East Coast west to Texas. It is a versatile wildflower that is at home in a variety of sites ranging from prairies, dry woods or low, wet areas. It is characterized by its fine, needle like foliage and its clusters of small flowers that are attractive to both birds and bees. The foliage is very aromatic when crushed.
