SW N. America. We have been growing yucca in our rock gardens for many years along with other rain-proof dessert agaves and dasylirion. Yucca whipplei has always appealed to us because of its slender, toothed, gray green foliage. Over time this can become a lovely specimen. Perhaps some year we will be treated to a towering bloom spike dangling with bell-shaped flowers.
