We ship our plants to you using United Parcel Service (UPS) or the US Mail
(USPS). As a standard practice, we ship using the least expensive cost
to you that we can, that insures that your plants are protected and
arrive in good condition.
To reduce shipping weight, many of our plants are shipped out of their pots with the root ball intact, and others, such as clematis, are shipped in their containers. All plants are packaged to insure they do not dry out or become damaged in shipping. We will ship your complete order as close to your preferred shipping date as possible. During our peak shipping times (April through June) there may be up to a three-week delay in shipping orders. We do our best not to back-order plants, if it should become necessary to split an order because of an delay due to a shortage of one plant we will consult with the customer before splitting the order. Please remember that our shipping season is determined by local climatic conditions. Should conditions be unfavorable, we will wait to ship until an appropriate time. In general, our shipping season begins in February and continues through mid-November. For exceptions see #2 below. Our fee for handling and packaging is $4.00. We will charge you the actual UPS or USPS charges at the time of shipping and you will receive a statement of those charges with your shipment. Here are some things to know:
