We received Abutilon 'Siam Bell' in 2009 from our friend Judith Jones, owner of Fancy Fronds Nursery. She had been making seedling selections of Abuliton for several years and she thought this one was worth introducing. We, of course, agreed. This upright shrub has five-lobed, palmate leaves which are shaped just like classic maple leaves. Rounded orange buds develop into bell-shaped flowers. The incurved petals are dramatically veined in red and the protruding stamens look for all the world like a plush bell clapper.
Spring through autumn. 4-5 ft. x 2 ft.
Yellow Orange/Red Veined flowers
