At one time we collected Peruvian lilies to trial them in our garden. We acquired Alstroemeria 'Red Rose' from Buena Creek Nursery in Southern California. This plant stood out because of the scarlet coloration of its flowers. There is a soft yellow patch at the base of the petals and light brown streaking up the interior of the flowers. This sturdy clumper has performed well for us carrying on its colorful bloom well into the autumn. Summer. 2.5 ft. x 2 ft. Scarlet flowers Sun Zones 7, 8, 9 |
