We are familiar with many tall species of Amsonia and so were excited to find this short selection with flowers that are rich blue in bud opening periwinkle blue. Amsonia 'Blue Ice' has narrow, willow-leaf foliage which turns golden in the autumn. The starry flowers form at the terminal of the stems. Like all Amsonia, this increases slowly at the base.
