Like all of the asters in the Wood's series, this is a reliable, compact bloomer that can tolerate a modest amount of shade and still produce good bloom. The pink ray-flowers are semi-double with yellow centers. They measure about a half-inch across but are so numerous they cover the plant. The glossy dark green leaves are attractive. These late-summer blooming asters are a bridge to the autumn garden.
