At home in part shade to full sun, Masterworts are known for their umbels of papery flowers that continue to look good throughout the season. The flowers of Astrantia major 'Lars' rise on tall wiry stems. Individual inflorescences are comprised of maroon bracts encircling tiny red budded flowers that open with a pink and white influence. The attractive green foliage is palmate and toothed along the edges.
