Calamagrostis brachytrichs is distinct from the other Calamagrostis we grow because it has broader leaves than the others and because it is a warm season grass waiting until the end of the summer to bloom. It has a similar pink tinged inflorescence to the others. One other distinction, Korean feather reed grass is happy in somewhat moister areas as well as at the edges of the woods. It is slow to form a clump.
