Caryopteris x clandonensis 'Dark Knight' is a compact shrub that we grow in the dry, hot side of our Point Garden joined by Convolvulus cneorum (with evergreen, pewter foliage) and Zauschneria californica (with bright orange flowers in late summer). Its gray foliage is a perfect complement to its dark blue flowers in late summer. Even the calyces take on a blue cast as they age. Favored by late season butterflies. A Great Plant Picks selection.
Late summer. 3 ft. x 5 ft.
