A natural cross occuring between Ceanothus foliosus and C. griseus, Ceanothus 'Centennial' forms a low, ground-hugging, evergreen shrub that is ideal for covering banks and slopes. This was collected by Roger Raiche and introduced into the nursery trade in 1992. The small crimped leaves are dark green and glossy. They alternate up low-arching, red brown stems. The vivid flowers open in tight clusters.
