This old-fashioned garden perennial or sub-shrub is commonly called Jupiter's Beard or Red Valerian. It is clump-forming in habit, its many branches bearing terminal cymes of bright flowers throughout the summer. The lance-shaped leaves are glaucous. We lost Centranthus ruber 'Coccineus' many years ago and thank Gina Cardoza for providing us with seed from her garden. Late spring to late summer. 24 in. x 24 in.
