This is a cross between C. 'Ruby Cluster' and C. salviifolius made by Robert Page and named for a friend and fellow plantsman. Cistus 'Gordon Cooper' is a low, spreading shrub with an attractive display of two-inch white flowers. There is a red blotch as the base of each of the five petals that make up the flowers. Remember that Cistus are drought tolerant once established, and for the most part, the deer tend to leave them alone.
Late spring, early summer. 2-3 ft. x 6 ft.
