We first bloomed this in 2012 and found the 6-inch red purple flowers exceptionally attractive. As the flowers are exposed to the sun they mature to blue purple. Old and new flowers make for a lovely mix of colors. Complementary red anther tips are yet another attraction. Prune and feed Clematis AMETHYST BEAUTY in the early spring to encourage blooms.
