The central boss of stamens have whitish filaments and yellow anthers. This sister to Clematis 'Asao' was raised by Kazushige Ozawa in 1971. Like its sister, it is very free flowering. Both are from a cross between C. 'Ernest Markham' and the Japanese form of C. 'Star of India'. This is a Great Plant Pick.
