Clematis 'Madame Grange´' (Th. Grange´ of Orleans, 1873) bears very velvety, red purple flowers with boat-shaped sepals that flatten as the flowers mature. The filaments are light red purple with brownish anthers. This is an early cross between Clematis lanuginosa and an unknown C. viticella form. All of our Clematis are two year old plants that are suitable for immediate planting in your garden.
Mid- to late summer. 8-10 ft.
