Joy Creek Photo Archive (c) all rights reserved	Our friend Kazushige Ozawa gave us Clematis 'Tsuzuki' (Ozawa, 1982) when we first met him. We grew it in our garden for many years but it succumbed to a vole invasion. We are happy to have it back in production. Clematis 'Tsuzuki' bears beautiful mid-sized, rounded, white flowers with light yellow anthers that really complement the overall effect. Mr. Ozawa was excited about using 'Tsuzuki' in the cut flower trade but soon changed his focus to bell shaped clematis. This can be grown in containers or in the garden. All of our Clematis are two year old plants that are suitable for immediate planting in your garden. May and June; August and September. 6-8 ft. White flowers *Sun, Part Shade Zones 5, 6, 7, 8, 9*
Early flowering in the spring on the previous year's growth. If you hard prune, you eliminate most or all of the early blooms. Instead, groom this after flowering by cutting back the top one-third to one-half of some stems. This encourages new growth for possible summer bloom.
