We are always looking for shrubs that are narrow and slow growing for customers who want accents for smaller gardens. This bloodtwig dogwood fills that bill and more. Cornus sanguinea `Compressa' is not simply narrow and slow to grow, it also has small leaves which are thick and stiff but curled giving the shrub an unusual, shaggy appearance.
