Sometimes Corokia cotoneaster looks like a shrub that has lost most of its leaves. The new stems in autumn and winter look especially bare, while deep in the core of the shrub are numerous small oblong leaves that are not readily evident at first glance. We grew this with no water on a south-facing slope. The gray to gray black stems are very attractive, especially when the tiny yellow flowers are in bloom.
