We have grown this more than a decade in our garden and have always enjoyed its compact habit and the small, somewhat glossy, cordate foliage. The leaves are serrated along their edges with what look like tiny spines. In the sping, flowering stems bear up to 24 yellow flowers on short stems. This is short in stature and easy to accommodate in any garden. Epimedium davidii hales from the western Sichuan area of China.
Midspring to early summer 12 in. x 18 in.
