We thank Sally Dahl for introducing us to this plant (and many others) and giving us our first cuttings. Sally was instrumental in helping us keep our Fuchsia collection true-to-name and we think of her when we see the plants she shared with us. Fuchsia 'Harlequin' is an elegant, upright shrub with nicely proportioned flowers. The flowers have rich red tubes and sepals and dark purple corollas. The sepals recurve in a graceful fashion. The dark green, rounded leaves are lightly toothed along their margins. Red is present in their central veins and is also evident in young branches and flower stems giving an over-all unity to the coloration of this lovely shrub.
