Like many of the recent additions to our Hardy Fuchsia list, we received cutting wood of this classic fuchsia from Sally Dahl. This mid-sized shrub was named by a one-time president of the British Fuchsia Society. Because it is fast growing, it is often used as an informal hedge. The semi-double flowers have carmine tubes and sepals above violet corollas that are veined in red. The plentiful flowers are two-tiered. The foliage is mid-green and the young stems are blushed with red. (Wood 1939)
