When we find unusual seedlings in our garden, we spend many years trialing them. We then increase them if we decide they are garden-worthy. We found this geranium years ago and have come to treasure both its soft pink, red veined flowers and its low, compact habit. Among its other charms are the red staining on the flowering stems, red carpels late in the season, and red edging on the dark green foliage in the autumn. All of this makes for a colorful addition for the front of the border.
