We have come to rely on Geums for the bright colors they bring to the spring and early summer border. Geum coccineum 'Queen of Orange' is a compact, tidy plant with pinate leaves that are toothed along their margins and fuzzy to the touch. The flowering stems are branched and bear numerous cupped flowers of orange with a central cluster of golden anthers. Deadheading promotes repeat blooming.
