Joy Creek Nursery Introduction 2014. Hebe 'Dragonfly' was found as a seedling in the garden of Andy Stockton who is on the staff at our nursery. Andy is an avid hebe collector. The tilt of the extra-long, narrow opposite leaves reminded Andy of the wings of dragonflies and that is why he chose the name. The young lime-green stems age to woody brown. The 1-1/4-inch racemes appear on lateral stems emerging on the upper portion of the plant. This is a prolific bloomer.
