Hebe odora var. prostrata is perhaps best thought of as a ground-covering shrub with evergreen foliage. The young stems are pale green but, as they slowly spread and age, they turn woody. The upper surface of the small leaves is glossy lime green in contrast with the matte surface of their undersides. This is another hebe that has defied many of our recent unusually cold winters.
