The blades of Helictotrichon sempervirens 'Sapphire' are much finer and slightly bluer than the type. Fully grown plants are also slightly smaller in scale. This is a very useful, drought-tolerant, evergreen grass that holds its own as a specimen plant but is especially attractive in mass plantings.
Early summer. 3.5 ft. x 3 ft.
Tawny flowers
