What one notes first about this large shrub is the flowers. Not only are they white with wavy margins, but they are large, up to 5 or 6 inches. The dark green, three-lobed leaves serve as a good background to show them off. Hibiscus syriacus `Diana' is easily shaped into a small tree by limbing it up. Because it is sterile, there is no need to worry about self-seeding.
