Medium. Hosta 'Fragrant Blue' has long been a favorite in our woodland garden where its frosty-blue leaves show off the foliage of neighboring plants beautifully. We especially like the rhythm of the fronds of nearby ferns against these leaves. The flowering scapes can grow up to a yard in height here in the Portland area but in most of the literature we read that they are shorter. The softly colored flowers are fragrant and are a pleasant mid-summer treat.
Mid- to late July. 18 in. x 45 in.
