Hydrangea 'Madame Faustin Travouillon' (Barillet, 1930) is sometimes called 'Peacock' because of the free-flowering, showy mop heads that vary greatly in color depending on the soil type. The flowers bloom both early and late so there is never a lack of color. It tolerates our sun but some do recommend growing this with afternoon shade. The floral heads turn green as they age and are excellent for cutting and drying. This is also excellent grown in a container.
