When adjectives fail, ask a customer for help. One told us Hydrangea 'Mathilda Gutges' (Steiniger, 1946) was "supremely cobalt blue." Immature flowers have white starry centers that disappear as the flowers deepen to a hue that matches our customer's words exactly. Good dark green foliage.
Early summer to midsummer. 3.5 ft. x 3.5 ft.
