The lacecap flowers of Hydrangea 'Rotdrossel'(1987) begin red and deepen to wine as they mature. The central fertile flowers are green in bud but develop to pink or lavender blue. Complementing the entire floral head are the purple floral stems. Flowerheads can reach from 6 to 8 inches across. The rounded leaves are a rich green and quite large.
