Hybridized by Elizabeth Scheffy of West Mansfield, MA and registered in 1953, Iris siberica 'Fairy Dawn' has managed to persist in the nursery trade for a long time. It is known for its early season of bloom and its white standards that contrast with its falls which are flushed in pink. Siberian iris look attractive even when they are not in bloom because their grass-like foliage remains vibrant until late in the season.
