For those with small gardens, this evergreen tree or large shrub is easily grown in a tub or container. In our garden we keep it clipped to just above human size to create shade for a nearby porch. By doing so, we satisfy the culinary needs of our staff because the crisp dark foliage is intensely aromatic.
