Our specimen of Lysimachia paridiformis var. stenophylla was purchased at a plant sale at the Lan Su Chinese Garden in Portland, OR, many years ago. We had seen it growing in that garden previously and could hardly believe it was a Lysimachia. It was low to the ground and the shiny, long, lance-shaped leaves formed a whorl from the middle of which a boss of yellow flowers glowed. The Flora of China clearly states that this grows in "damp forests and wet ravines," so water it regularly if you want it to thrive.
