This lovely penstemon languished forgotten for years under the shade of a large Rhamnus. When the Rhamnus was pruned, it came back to its former glory. We were happy to see its smaller, somewhat pouch-like, tubular flowers which are produced with such exuberance throughout the summer. Its narrow foliage is rich green. In habit, it is short and somewhat compact. Because of its ancestry, it is plenty hardy for our Pacific Northwest gardens.
