Its compact size, winter hardiness and evergreen foliage make it extremely useful. Penstemon pinifolius 'Melon' introduces a new flower color to this popular plant, a cantaloupe color that is intermediate between the scarlet red of the best known selections and the yellow of 'Mersea Yellow'. We have compared all of our garden plants and find that the pine-needle-like leaves of 'Melon' are a little longer than 'Mersea Yellow' and that they are not as dense. Summer. 16 in. x 14 in.
