From Korea, China and Bhutan. The long, tapering leaves form in whorls of four to six up the fleshy, upright stems. The cylindrical flowers dangle in a loose skirt from these leaf axils. In late summer, dark rounded fruits develop. Polygonatum sibiricum is an herbaceous woodlander which increases by rhizomes.
