From Japan, Korea. This selection of Rodgersia podophylla has deeper red foliage earlier in the spring than does the pure species. Both are bold foliage plants for the shade garden. While it appreciates and is likely best in moist soil situations it performs well in our open woodland garden with intermittent summer moisture. Mid- to late summer. 5 ft. x 6 ft.
